What do I Have to do to Join?
The Pioneer Valley Chordsmen is a real fun-loving
group of great guys. We would love to meet you any Monday night from
7:30 to 10:00 PM. During that time you will have the opportunity to
see what a typical rehearsal is like. You will have the opportunity,
if you wish, to practice harmonizing with the chorus. You'll
also be able sing a few easy lines, called tags, with three other men in a
quartet, so that you can hear how you sound with a small group. You
will be singing great sounding barbershop harmony in no time! You
may decide to attend several rehearsals before you decide to join our
chapter.
Once you have decided to join the Pioneer Valley
Chordsmen, you may continue to use the learning CD's, so that you can
learn the songs we are working on. Once you have decided to join the
chorus, you will be issued a uniform, so that you can join us on our
sing-outs. Eventually you may want to start your own quartet.
I want to try this, so how do I get started? If
you have further questions, email us at
join@pvchordsmen.com and we will
get back to you promptly. Or you may contact Dick Bourbeau at
413-533-0305, or Pierre Richard at 413-612-2720.
If you wish to visit us, we meet on Monday evenings
at 7:30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1599 Memorial Drive, Chicopee,
MA. From the main entrance to the building, we are the door farthest
on the right. There is plenty of parking right out in front.
We sure hope that we will see you soon for a great
experience, and a chance to hear the best four-part harmony that you have
ever heard!!
